A wedding day is full of unexpected little moments. A tear, discreetly wiped away, a spontaneous burst of laughter, a look of shock at a risqué speech – it’s pretty special to be there to capture the rawness, the tenderness and the sheer love of it all. I’m Emilie and I’m a creative wedding photographer in London. I treat life like a big adventure and view the world through cinematic frames. My photography style is quite alternative – a mix of creative documentary and fine art portraiture with what I call a touch of cinematic style.
Alongside artistic portraits, I love to capture real and genuine images that are full of raw emotion. Every wedding day has its own story, told in its own touching way by the people who make it so unique. I’m there to document those complex family interactions and dynamics (the good, the bad, the ugly – and often the funny). I’m interested in both pretty aesthetics and in seing the beauty of imperfect places and ordinary moments. I do this by connecting and communicating with my clients in a way that makes it easy for them to trust my artistic eye and that, excuse my French, I know my shit.
I want my couples to feel comfortable enough to truly be themselves in front of my lens. By getting a feel for who they are, their story and what makes them tick, I know how to approach the creative process with them and to put them at ease on one of the most emotional days of their lives.
